Martial Arts can provide an aerobic workout that’s impossible to beat! We believe in developing our physical as well as mental fitness in order to accomplish great things in all areas of our lives. The atmosphere in class is always supportive and team orientated, and regardless of your current level of fitness you will be encouraged in a positive manner to push yourself to new heights of achievement. We have trained both the young and the old, able bodied and disabled, complete novice and trained athlete. The only thing you need to train with us is a desire to achieve. The Shudokan provides a traditional yet dynamic means of getting fit and having fun. With its roots in feudal Japan, our martial arts training provides an insight into Japanese tradition, history and culture while providing a modern day method of self defence that relies on timing, coordination and technique.

Training in martial arts will help you obtain the level of physical fitness that you wish to achieve - at a pace that suits you. Martial arts training will change your body but only at the pace that you wish it to. By increasing your suppleness, agility and developing muscle strength, this is an ideal form of exercise for everyone - from children to retirees.
